Last Friday I attended my very first “informal” photography class. It was just a three hour DLSR basic class on taking photography on the next level. Whilst the instructor discussed only the three semi-auto modes and left manual mode behind, it was quite interesting, nonetheless.

Even I shoot in manual mode; there are some topics that make the class so absorbing like locking the auto exposure to get that dramatic light that you’ve been imagining in your photo without sacrificing the ISO.

He just emphasized that I should be reading my camera’s manual, shoot more, imagine more and create more.

He is such an inspiring guy who encouraged all the four of us to get serious in the craft and enroll in continues learning if we can. To which I already planned.

This is going to be fun, I decided to make my Yashica posts a weekly activity, that is if I don’t get short of fund.  I hope I won’t and I hope somebody could buy me a coffee too since this blog is not generating any income to support this hobby.

I am a self confessed garage sale addict and for me today was a supercalifragilistic garage sale day. Usually after eating breakfast, we drive around the block and sometimes the whole town in search of a garage sale.

The festive of selling used and “non pertinence” stuff don’t happen all year around, garage sales are summer activities so, rounding up to see if there’s something interesting is a must on weekend activities.

And today, we had a pretty good deal from the four garage sales we visit. I am now using a “new” desk for only $10, a TV for $15 and a $10 microwave, both for the trailer use. Another Polaroid camera for 50 cents, a book and two framed pictures to decorate the washroom. The back of the van was literally and visually packed with the goodies.

i am excited to go back to the beach.  this time, i don’t know if i am able to take photos because i want to dip myself onto the water.  it’s been awhile since i did that, 10 months, i supposed.

i am very, very glad that when i was taking these photos, nobody frets or maybe because they are enjoying the weather too much that they don’t care.  The guy who owned the shoe scooped it when he felt that I was aiming the camera to his though.
