Me got talent….

My first attempt to digital scrapping, do you think I’ve got talent?  After creating my bobang pinay blog, I’m up to make another blog which deals with digital scrapping and photography. I even bought a software that is highly recommended for digital scrapping.

I’ve been to Michael’s last week after my exam for licensing for new driver. Oh! Did I say new driver?

Yes of course, I’ve been very vocal that I really need to learn how to drive and I am glad that I made it to the exam in one taking.

So, I’ve been to Michael’s, the arts and crafts store and bought myself a cross stitch materials.  I started cross stitching again after more than a decade and it feels good to be surrounded by threads, cloth and needles again.

I saw some beading materials also and it seems inviting, since I am into wearing fashion jewelries it’s about time, I guess for me to learn the art of beading too.

Digital scrapping, photography, cross stitching and beadings, isn’t it obvious that I am tired of being “boba”.  Yeah, I want to know if I got talent too.

    Bebe,

As a photo-scrapping-guru wannabe (lol! don’t be offended, with the adjective, ok?) I think you’ve got what it takes to become very very good in digital scrapping. I like the creative background (with a poem). I know this is time-consuming on your part but with the benefit of getting refreshed from the stressful world of blogging, I think you’ll be making use of your time wisely with this activity. Stay happy and god bless!

Hanep sa pic, movie star ang dating!

I’ve always been interested in digital scrapping pero I think I don’t have the patience for it. Mukhang very detailed and time consuming. Tama ba ako?

I don’t think I could ever be good at digital scrapbooking… even though I love scrapbooking the “normal” way.

Good luck in all your projects!

    Hi Manilenya,

I feel that what you really want to say is “I’m tired of believing I am Boba”. Obviously, what you have been doing for so long, the relationships you have built, and the sacrifices you have undergone, are all manifestations of an intelligent person with a unique perspective on life that’s worth emulating. You have several talents and skills which have gone unnoticed by you – and which have not been fully tapped and developed – because of the unflattering belief you have of yourself that hinders its growth and fruition.

Someone or some people must have planted that belief (being boba) in your brain decades ago, as a young child perhaps, and it has been reinforced through several incidents over time. The most critical point is when you began to believe it was true. Once a belief enters your brain – whether through people you regard as knowledgeable, from those with respectable education, or those you have convinced yourself could be true about yourself – and you accept it – you act as if it were true. For you, it actually becomes true. All human behavior comes from beliefs, positive or negative ones, and people do not act contrary to their beliefs, they always act in accordance with it. To change your behavior to more positive actions require changing your beliefs about yourself into positive ones.

You realized that going abroad was a way of providing a better life and maybe carving out a better existence; you sacrificed being away from your child because of the benefit you could provide for her future; you are an accomplished blogger when several businessmen I know can’t even open an e-mail; you were sensitive enough to develop friendships with worthy people you refer to as “Tatay”; you influenced your own child to undertake interest in online communication which now allows you to reach each other and be connected; you are into digital scrapbooking which requires creativity, talent, patience, and imagination; you can even tweak your own site and are well versed in html and other tools used in the internet which needs a lot of concentration, analysis and understanding. You even mentioned in your older posts that you have began to believe in yourself a little. Manilenya, cast away the idea of selling yourself short. Only you will believe in you 100%, and you should believe in you as much – for if other people see you with plenty of talent and potential, you must see yourself in that light too and more.

You might say that most of what you’ve done were emotion based, not brain based. This is incorrect application of what you’ve accomplished. All emotions emanate from the brain. The heart was used as a poetic source of feeling and emotion, but is, in fact, merely a pump that delivers blood and nutrients throughout the body. Remove the brain and no emotion will be felt. So all this time, it was your brain that was performing all that you’ve done. To believe otherwise is wrong. That means, you were never boba to begin with. It was only your own acceptance of that idea that hindered your perspective of yourself. When God gave out brains, He gave everybody 14 billion brain cells, and this brain is more powerful than any computer man has ever made or will be capable of making. It is strictly hampered by the limitations of our own beliefs. Once you remove these self imposed limitations, the full power of your potential is yours to conquer and achieve anything.

There are some things other people can do better than you, but there are some things you can do better than everybody else. There are some things others know that you don’t, but there are things you know that others don’t. It doesn’t make you lesser or greater than anyone, but it establishes our equality with everyone else in this planet. Equality is not measured by standards of material wealth but by the intangible values we accumulate in the process of daily living. Success is not what we take from this world, but by what we give back to this world, to make it richer and better for others. And you have initiated this direction in your life so far.

I congratulate you and the path you have chosen. I know your child will appreciate it once she gets to fully grasp and understand the selflessness of your intentions and the nobility of your motives.

Sorry this came out too long. :-) –Durano, done!
