This is another weekly meme and I can’t ignore Ivan’s invitation, she’s one blogger that always remember my blog even I don’t visit hers regularly. Aside from that, I find She says, He says interesting to make.

According to Ivan:

The idea is that any of these: a question, fill in the blank, multiple choices, photo or a writing prompt will be posted here. Express your thoughts in your blog and feel free to leave a link to your blog with your answers when you’re done. Anyone can hop in and join the fun every Tuesday! =)

Today’s activity is a question.

What is your regular day like?

I am a Live-In Caregiver, and I find my day as stay at home wife and a mother usually does; only I am employed to do that. And only I submit to the wife and most importantly, the the youngest daughter. I am glad that both my employers don’t treat me differently though.

I start my day in the kitchen, second to the washrooms; I believe the kitchen should be always clean. Every time the kids mess up, I see the needs to tidy up the place again. I do the laundry and cooking also. I clean the whole house if the kids are in school, and I play and watch TV with the youngest, whenever she’s at home, that’s cool eh? If I don’t play and watch TV or movies with her, I’m in total trouble. I don’t want that to happen.

If only I can start my post with a greeting and an introduction of myself, I will start it that way, but I started it, with “If” so I’ll just proceed to say “Hi! I’m Manilenya!” And I will say “what’s up with you?”

I hope you’ll ask what’s going on with me. Conversely, what am I up to. Though I don`t know if somebody interested to know what`s going on with me, aside from those who were asking me once they see me in Facebook or in my other I’m`s. Moreover, I don`t really know if they really want to know what`s happening to me, or they just want to start the conversation with that question. I hope they really are that interested.

Just like I’m wondering if there is somebody who`s interested reading my blog.

Now that I realized that I`m not into this problogging kind, and I don`t even classified myself as a political blogger (that`s in my other blog and I don`t know why some called me one). And I`m not definitely a writer, though I want to fit in.

I enrolled myself to an online creative writing class but hesitant to continue after submitting my first assignment and a tutor who is a creative writer was assigned to coach me throughout this course.

I want to slip back. I don`t know if I`m afraid or not. And the term “afraid“ scares me a bit more. I supposed this is what I want to do, I considered of writing all my life, and yet I haven`t write anything. All were a piece of paper that ready to be crumpled.

That suffices to say that I am not ready to get starting. I`ve got the hitch that prevented me to think.

Nevertheless, soon I hope I get over it.

I miss parties, not the party that my uncle and his wife throwing, whenever they feel like it. Theirs is parties with foods, beers and tong-it’s (a Filipino well-known card game). They will stop eating and drinking beers and coffee or tea will take place but the card games will stay until morning.

Sometimes I lock myself in my room, of course with beer in my hand and touch my keyboard until it gives me the assurance that life is not boring after all, even me not “partying” with them. I don’t like card games. I don’t like their kind of parties.

I miss the bar hopping actually. I don’t do that much when I was in Singapore but there’s always a date for me and my sister together with some female friends. I love to dance and drown myself with the noisy music (I miss the noise actually - I grew up with noise) and it’s been a while since my last step in the bar that we frequented.

Two days ago a new friend blogger have invited me to join the biggest party ever in blogosphere. I didn’t ask him if there’s live band, since I have no time to reply. When I checked the host site, I forgot about the live band. What bring me in are many prizes that I can win if I join. Yes this is some kind of party contest.

Let’s see what The Hockstadt.com Party Contest will give me if I win.

First time I heard the term “domestic superhero” was on the local teenage TV show Life with Derek here in Canada. That afternoon, the two, stepbrother and stepsister were fighting over the project in their class (yes they are classmates too). One was given a chance to make her documentary film about the merging family which of course the two family’s set up and Derek of course was insisting on having his film “DOMESTIC SUPERHERO” be granted by their teacher, unfortunately only three students were picked to do their film..

Derek didn’t make it but I did. Well not on the film but here in my blog.

During the early days of this blog (not too long ago, in fact I just changed it some days ago) I used “The Journal of domestic [UN] Goddess” which I got from my then current reading Sophie Kinsella’s The Undomestic Goddess .

Although there is [UN], I know that Goddess is not appropriate to describe me so that leaves domestic as my tagline. But domestic can’t stand alone and watching that teeny weenie show that happens to be one of the kids I am looking after’s favorite afternoon shows. It saves me from thinking and you know how hard it is to think that’s why most of the blogs I visit especially Entrecarders have no latest updates. It’s hard to think whether for a post or okay this is for me, I am selling myself. I am having a hard time doing my about me page.

To cut it short, I grabbed Derek’s idea. I want to call myself a domestic superhero. I don’t know exactly what the teenager’s plan for his film but I saw his brother in the show wearing a cape and an eye mask And shouted “I AM DOMESTIC SUPERHERO!”

But me as an OFW (Overseas Filipino Worker) and working as a domestic helper which they beautify to Live-In Caregiver, I absolutely agree that the term suits for me especially because in our country (Philippines) we, domestic helpers are called THE NEW HERO (Bagong Bayani.)

I saw this note in my employer’s pad this morning, not that I am reading my employer’s stuff but when you are cleaning and some papers are in the table that you are supposed to clean, there is no way for you not to see them, especially if they are interesting.

And what is not interesting in $$$ especially when it comes to three?

My employers are both in business. In the morning when she get up of bed she will wake up her kids and assist them prepare for school, she’ll get inside her office to work in her computer when the kids are all set to school. In one or two hours she’ll go to work and meet the real job and which is to work with her employees in the office.

Her husband wakes up late than her and always on the phone with his coffee. Sometimes he has three cups of coffee, and he’ll talk and talk and talk on the phone, which was her youngest daughter’s exact words actually.

He’ll talk on the phone in the morning before he goes to the office, and he’ll talk on the phone in the evening that is to say if he wasn’t watching films on the TV.

During my first few days working at their house, I couldn’t stop myself saying “what on earth he is doing on the phone this lots? This is the first time I see a man talking on the mouthpiece a lot of times (he is always on the phone too whenever he has to send me home or sometimes picked me - his wife is in-charged).”

I found out later that everything is for business, and that he is making dollars while he’s having a coffee and his lips are tied with the mouthpiece of their phone.

Base from what I hear every morning, again I have no intention of listening, but he sometimes talked so loud, I supposed he was just talking to friends. And then I realized that business will make you Mr. /Ms. Friendship, you’ll gain a lot of friends of course.

Although the topic How to make more dollars is appealing to me, the steps he wrote, didn’t excite me. Maybe because my salary as their caregiver is good enough for me or maybe because I know I am not into sales. I don’t like networking and I am not yearning to make more dollars in selling.

I am done to that.

However, the note was like a magnet, and it is pulling me in to think.

How to make more $$$?

My head is always in another dimension. When I was a kid I was always pretend I was a princess with my pretty dress my mother bought for me and the street we made used as playground was my “princessdom”.

I also feigned to be the leader to my playmates back in my grade school, I got the idea in the Legion of Mary Junior Presidium where I was a member, and I act as a person in charge to my playfellows. They stay on me in a few minutes but deviated after a little longer if they see something more interesting than sitting with me while instructing something.

I guess being a leader was one of my aspiration, I can’t be one in my school, so I thought I be able to make it with my buddies in my neighborhood.

I was so thrilled when it happened in my teens. I gathered the youngsters in our street, and we started an organization and arranged street parties for the youth.

But the organization didn’t stay long, it was because we didn’t create by laws for the group, and we didn’t even know what the purpose of the group’s existence was.

My dream fell off and it becomes a wishful thinking.

So much for reminiscing, let me end this with my unconscious mutterings for this week, and you can see more of mutterings here.

Give me a break! It’s almost one o’ clock. If you have noticed I changed my template again, now I have a feeling that this blog would be going to be tagged as CHANGED TEMPLATE AGAIN. No worries for me because this is a RESIDUAL MATTERS, a junk…garbage, a left over and yet lingering.

And it will remain to your skin, I know someday you can’t just leave and you’ll read me again and again.

I just don’t know how and where to start.

Hmm, this is a good start though. What do you think?

I have heard a radio DJ reporting a snow was selling on eBay some two years ago. and it sounds ridiculous to me, who’s going to buy a snow anyway? I guess the DJ was just kidding but when I had a conversation with a friend who’s into selling her products on eBay one day about a woman who’s selling the playing cards which is of no value her son had stolen and was actually sold because of the dramas that the woman has posted, I think selling snow is not far from selling the playing cards that has no value at all.

I don’t know if the snow was sold but the woman had a week supper from eBay buyer.

Now here comes a story about the domain that cost $20 in 1994, Clark the owner of Pizza.com (Everything about pizzapizza_slice_3.png - from coupon to Internet pizza service to pizza games to pizza videos and all you can think about pizza) put his domain name to auction and gained $2.6 M after the auction closed.

Well of course auctioning a domain name is different from the peculiar selling of snow or stolen playing cards especially when the site contains everything that sells but coming from Chris mouth, he said “it’s crazy, it’s just crazy”, it’s like, he himself couldn’t believe it.

Now I am thinking which domains may be worth an attractive fifty pence piece in the future. Any suggestion?

Yesterday I was loaded with words that continue running on my mind. While my body was busy cleaning the whole house my mind was busy too constructing ideas which are mostly for my blog entry. That is how my everyday life evolves, my physique is doing the errands and my mind is creating some text that I can hardly remember when the time that I need to post it.

Sometimes I think of keeping a paper and a pen in my pocket so that I can write every detail that is flowing inside my brain. I remember how a Singaporean author wrote his entire book; it was at the tail of the bus during his ride to home after office hours.

But me writing in between chores is not advisable. I don’t want to lose a job,  and that, I am sure.

So I need to bring my eyes and my right hand again to a halt, or else I will be here again hunting for another theme for this blog. Now I need to admit that I have an obsessive compulsive behavior, and together with prolong dropping obsession in Entrecard sites, my searching and visiting to some wordpress theme sites is now becoming a ritual.

I don’t like it so I tied my right hand on the feet of my side table, and I urged my eyes to read the book that I left behind. I’m glad that my eyes kept to me. That makes me realize that my disease can still be cured.

Now besides creeping around WP themes sites, I have to stop skulking on Google News so that I can have an idea what to post. If I keep on searching for something what to post in Google or some other sites, I believe that will make me mechanical, a robotic. In Filipino term walang puso, atay at balun-balunan (no heart, liver and gizzard - that’s for birds lol!). I don’t want to blog something that I am really not familiar with, but of course I am willing to learn about anything with passion and conviction. Without the two how can I write about something here?

My gratitude belongs to Itot for all the tips on how to make this blog generates some bucks, however my psyche keep on bucking me and asking me the reasons I made this blog. My answer could also be the answer to Bendz question on why I made another blog and why this goes with the same URL name only that I am using dotnet here.

I want to be honest. I want to generate income thru blogging, I enjoy every time my Pay Pal account received payments from review sites, even though they are in  a small amount.

But what leads me to create another (English) blog is the passion to learn English writing.

Entrecard also is liable for this. I enjoy it too much lately and most of Entrecard droppers are non-Filipino blogger, I am enticed to some of their post that makes me leaving them some comments. Of course I want them to swing back, how can I encouraged them to read my post if they don’t understand what I am blogging and besides someone told me that Entrecard user’s blog must be written in English only.

Not that I am dumping my mother tongue as my language for blogging, I get pleasure from using it in my site, I tell you but progressing in a language that I not quite use, and I admit I am not good at is quite an achievement to me.

So here I am trying so hard.

Yesterday, March 31 Yahoo launched a new site that aims for women, it is the first time that Yahoo is targeting an audience, and it benefits us girls because it’s all about US.

From the look of the site, I can figure that all women yahoo users will love it. It’s more than just a My Yahoo website. I remember I activate My Yahoo account sometime ago; I didn’t use that frequently although I organized it for my own viewing.

If you have your own yahoo mail account, you can access your inbox directly from the site. Make it your homepage and you’re going to have a web magazine about women’s in just a few seconds (that is if you have a fast internet access). They will tackle everything from fashion and beauty to healthy living, entertainment, parenting, love and sex to work and money, food and home. Now this will be a wonderful online experience for us girls.

The site is called SHINE (means to stand out) will bring out original blogs and content from their primary partners like Conde Nast, Hearst, and Time.
